Hello Johnathan,

Welcome back!
Okay fine! Geez! You win. I'll spill the beans...

As discussed in a couple of other threads already OPML importing is in the works. There are a number of other things which have to happen before this will be implemented. One of them is a dropping of the use of NSXMLParser for a custom parser in C++. Why, you ask? That is because there is indeed work going on for a desktop version of xFeed. Things are already becoming so fragmented with specifics needed for iPhones, iPads and now iPhone4's that It seems the best option to maintain only one code base across all platforms. It is more work now, but in the future, updates should occur more frequently. It would be nice to implement many of the future enhancements now, however, It seems that it is time better spent getting this new stuff out the door.
Now, the timeline for these things is vague, it's going to be. Thats just the way it is. I apologize ..kind of. ;)

PS - importing existing feeds should have been considered a fundamental requisite of such an app.

so, we have here perhaps another example of substance being overshadowed by eye-candy.

As you can tell, I consider your response of no material use.

It will be interesting to see whether or not you will censor or allow this post. Should you do any such then you show your true colours.

er, that business-speak reply is hardly substantive. 'Perhaps one day' is so open-ended it serves as model on non-response.

I think I'll tell both my friends to join me in seeking an alternative RSS reader.

Thanks for telling me/your readership precisely nothing.

Thanks!
This can be quite the issue. This is being looked at and there are some solutions coming to this down the road. There are big future plans for xFeed coming up. However, these things take time. So I would like to thank every one who enjoys xFeed and let you know that it will not stop improving!

Hi,

Excellent app - thank you

Q: I have 50 feeds for the RSS reader on my mbp - NewssFire.

To save the laborious task of typing in so many and complicated addresses, is there any way to simply IMPORT?

many thanks

J

PS Is there a desktop version of your app which would sync with the iTouch/iPhone?
