This is very good rss reader. But why can not add RSS from Google RSS reader?

xFeed does not (as of version 2.0.1) sync with google reader.

This is a very popular request.
This is planned to be done incrementally.

1. Dial in xFeed
2. Allow adding from google reader
3. Full google reader sync

4. Moot now that google reader is dead

Considering the app on the iPad, does it sync with Google Reader?

Hey there, glad you like it!

As it stands now the first step to google reader integration is going to be the importing of the OPML file. Now, about full synchronization. That is something that is in the plans, but a little further down the road. It is fast becoming the most requested feature, so I suppose it deserves some attention!

Sharing feeds will be getting more attention as well, how far this will be taken remains to be seen. Some people are die hard social network people: facebook, twitter. Others use a web service to read things later, instapaper, read it later. Others, like you, use google services such as reader. Don't really have any insights as to how this is going to play out, all I know now is that it will.

Support for google reader

Hi, thanks for a great app.
I normally use google reader as main mechanism to add notes and tag information as i share it with my friends, including the use of "Note in reader" button while surfing.
On the ipad it would be nice to see the same view of my google reader in addition to the feeds that are specifically added to the xfeed app.
Any hope of being able to import and sync all feeds and tag folders from google reader?
Cheers

I am moving from NewNewsWire (great app, but not liking their change to no longer sync with the NewsGator and the iPhone app is taking too long to update) and have had good experiences with your app over my last few days of testing. I think it will be my new app of choice, especially when you have an update all button!

That being said, do you have any intention of adding the ability to sync with Google Reader?

I like to have my feeds backed up in another location (always scared of losing them in a crash) and this would help.

Any chance you are looking to add this feature? If not, why not?

Thanks!
