As it stands now the first step to google reader integration is going to be the importing of the OPML file. Now, about full synchronization. That is something that is in the plans, but a little further down the road. It is fast becoming the most requested feature, so I suppose it deserves some attention!
Sharing feeds will be getting more attention as well, how far this will be taken remains to be seen. Some people are die hard social network people: facebook, twitter. Others use a web service to read things later, instapaper, read it later. Others, like you, use google services such as reader. Don't really have any insights as to how this is going to play out, all I know now is that it will.
