Thanks! This can be quite the issue. This is being looked at and there are some solutions coming to this down the road. There are big future plans for xFeed coming up. However, these things take time. So I would like to thank every one who enjoys xFeed and let you know that it will not stop improving!

xFeed does not (as of version 2.0.1) sync with google reader.

This is a very popular request.
This is planned to be done incrementally.

1. Dial in xFeed
2. Allow adding from google reader
3. Full google reader sync

4. Moot now that google reader is dead

There are no plans to implement push notifications for xFeed. With the upcoming release of iOS4, there are much more efficient and elegant ways to accomplish those tasks.
