Reading this again, it seems you are asking to create a new category at the same time you are adding a new feed, rather than doing the two functions separately. I like that idea.... It's in the hopefully soon pile!

This behavior has been changed in the current development version. The selected feed will remain selected on the iPad. Thank you for your time and I hope to get this update out to you all soon!

These will be working in the upcoming version. As well as much better support for feeds with non-english characters especially cyrillic.

There is an update coming very soon to address, among other things, the behavior in iPad's running 5.1 iOS. This update should make xFeed much more enjoyable for those running 5.1 and any other OS as well!

Hello! Good point! The icon is a leftover from when it's only function was to create an email. It is a bit misleading now that is provides more functionality.. This is definitely one of the main areas of focus for the next update. The plan is to have much better support for a wide variety of languages and character sets. Thank you for posting and we'll see if we can get this going soon!
